Rachel S. Bartek advocates for individuals and families facing life’s most difficult transitions. A North Texas native, Rachel returned home after college to pursue her legal education at Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor as a Dean’s Scholarship recipient. She previously graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and was inducted into the Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society.
Rachel’s passion for family law was born out of her early work at the Office of the Attorney General – Child Support Division, where she witnessed firsthand the challenges families face navigating the legal system. That experience inspired her to attend law school and dedicate her career to helping people through the emotionally charged and often complex realities of family law.
With a genuine commitment to advocacy and client care, Rachel specializes in divorce, child custody, complex property division, prenuptial agreements, and other key areas of family law. She is known for her empathetic approach, strategic thinking, and calm demeanor, which allow her to guide clients through legal proceedings with clarity and reassurance. Whether she is developing a creative legal solution, negotiating a settlement, or litigating in court, Rachel always prioritizes the well-being and long-term goals of her clients.
Prior to joining Navarrette Family Law, Rachel gained hands-on experience at reputable family law firms in North Texas where she independently managed a wide range of cases, drafted complex legal documents, negotiated settlements, and represented clients in hearings, mediations, and trials. She also completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Emily Miskel of the 470th District Court of Collin County, providing her with valuable insight into courtroom procedure and judicial decision-making.
Rachel’s commitment to service extends beyond private practice. As a student, she volunteered with Legal Hospice of Texas, where she assisted clients facing life-limiting illnesses with estate planning needs. Throughout her legal education, she was an active member of the Family Law Association, Real Estate Law Association, Aggie Law Society, and Women in Law, and she maintained student memberships with both the Dallas Bar Association and the Collin County Young Lawyers Association.
Rachel is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and brings a thoughtful, client-first mindset to every case she handles. Clients describe her as a steady, supportive presence—someone who listens closely, communicates clearly, and fights fiercely for their best interests.
